Å legge til rette for barns bevegelsesglede er, og har vært, en viktig ambisjon for kroppsøvingsfaget. Vi har lyst til å dele noen tanker om hvordan vi kan forstå bevegelsesglede. Vår er faring er at begrepet sjelden er noe man diskuterer og problematiserer. I dette blogginnlegget ønsker vi derfor å utfordre vår egen og andres forståelse av hva glede knyttet til bevegelse i kroppsøving kan være.
I vår nasjonale studie fant vi at over 70% av elevene og over 60% av lærerne mener at man har kroppsøving for å ha det gøy. Men hva menes med å ha det ‘gøy’? Vår erfaring er at det å ha det gøy i gymtimen ofte særlig av lærere og lærerutdannete, blir koblet til fagets ambisjon om bevegelsesglede.
Men er gøy og glede det samme? Kanskje ‘bevegelsesglede’ rommer mer enn ‘bevegelsesgøy’? Vi ønsker å se nærmere på begrepet bevegelsesglede.
Slik vi ser det kan glede knyttes til bevegelse på ulike måter. For eksempel kan man snakke om glede på tre nivå/måter:
- Glede før bevegelse: Dette kan handle om at man gleder seg til å være i bevegelse. I vår sammenheng; at elevene gleder seg til gymtimen. Se for eksempel for deg andreklasseelever som blir ‘sluppet fri’ i gymsalen når læreren endelig åpner døra! Mye forventing og glede å spore.
- Glede i bevegelse: Dette kan handle om at elevene gir uttrykk for at de har det gøy når de er i bevegelse (smil og latter). En annen måte å oppleve glede i bevegelse kan være gjennom å utfordre/utforske egne grenser og flytte disse.
- Glede etter bevegelse: Dette kan handle om følelsen av glede etter at man har vært i bevegelse. Det kan være gleden (følelsen) av motorisk mestring, gleden av å slite seg/tas seg ut, eller gleden over erfaringen man har fått etter god samhandling med andre elever.
Vårt poeng er å vise at det finnes ulike veier til bevegelsesglede. Særlig viktig er det kanskje å bli bevisst på at glede kan være noe mer enn ‘lykkerus’ i aktivitetsøyeblikket, og at glede kan oppstå på ulike tidspunkt (før, under og etter) gymtimen.
